Cheating

Hey peoples,
So I am right now over at my grandma's house. For dinner tonight I had tuna helper. I am ashamed to say that I cheated and cooked it... from a box. I am sorry. But I did try it with green onions and it was really good. The tuna helper is au gratin flavored. Basically, it's just fancy mac and cheese though. I am watching this William and Kate royal wedding warm up thing of Charles and Diana's wedding and Princess Diana's train on her dress is 25 FEET LONG!!!!!!! Things like this just freak me out!!!!!! I have no idea why. Anyways, here is a picture of the meal I made today.

Important Event

Mark your calendars!
Becca Dallaire has just (attempted to) made her first over-easy egg!!! I have no idea if I actually did it properly though. Haha!! My breakfast today was an over-easy egg and two slices of 3 year old cheddar on a toasted English muffin with butter. It's pretty darn good if I may say so myself. It is very messy though, because I "broke the yoke". Well the cheese has melted off of heat so It's probably getting cold. I got to go eat.

Easter Dinner

Hey Peoples,
This is hereby my second post on Easter Sunday of 2011. I suppose it just makes it that much awesomer.  I'm hanging out at my grandparent's house for a lovely easter dinner with Grandma, Papa, Tessa, and Matt. I love hanging out with them. The rest of my family is at my dad's house. We here, are having ham, scalloped potatoes, and a whole bunch of veggies. Delicious. I also made a cake for dessert. For dessert we also have coffee cake and jam cake. We have THREE KINDS OF CAKE!!!!!! Knowing Grandma, we'll probably have ice cream too. I got to go eat.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
Today I woke up and started searching for eggs. I found so much chocolate!! I swear, it isn't even physically healthy to eat that much chocolate. My dad is awesome because he go me a bunch of white chocolate this year!!! White chocolate is my weakness. Even better, he go me and my siblings some Rheo Thompson chocolate!!! It is the best chocolte company ever. Even better than Rocky Mountain. I have already eaten the ears off my Rheo Thompson White Chocolate bunny!!! Well, I need to go eat some candy!!!

PIES! GET YOUR PIES!

Hey Peoples,
Today I went over to Tessa's house!! We made pies...well, cupcakes... well, pies. I don't know.
Here's The recipie for whatever we made today:








You will need:
- Vanilla cupcakes. For best results use silver foil liners.
- 2 cans of vanilla frosting ( We used cream-cheese frosting)
- Yellow Food dye
-1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
-1 cup of each red and blue M&M

#1: Tint all the Vanilla Frosting with 3 or 4 drops of the yellow food dye and the cocoa powder to make a light brown colour for the crust. Spread some of the frosting on the top of the cupcake leaving a 1/4 inch of the cupcake exposed on the outside. For the filling, arrange accordingly like-coloured candies. Do the same with each cupcake.
#2: Spoon the remaining frosting into an icing bag. For the crust, Pipe a bunch of lines on the exposed part of the cupcake. Then, pipe criss-cross lines on top of the candies.
#3: See if people think they are pies or cupcakes. They confused me!

Cupcakes!!!!!

Hey Peoples,
I am having a love affair with a cupcake right now. That was my reward for being a "kindergarten lunch helper", at school, this easter. Every time a holiday rolls around the kindergarten helpers in Mrs.Klamming's class get candy. But anyways, cupcakes. I LOVE CUPCAKES. I am now going to post a link to my bible... This book is all about decorating cupcakes. It has tips about piping frosting, making different shapes, coating in sprinkles, and WAY MORE THINGS. 'Tis truly awesome. Check it out. Easter

Hey Peoples,
I'm up and early so I can go to school. :(  This morning I started my day with a lovely boiled egg ( GO EASTER!!! ) and I for some strange reason I dip "soldiers" in the yoke. "Soldiers" are really just cut up strips of bread. Today at school we are having a raffle for themed easter baskets. I want to get the baking one so I can make some egg-celent bakery Items. I got to go. I'll keep you posted. Wish me luck.

Cooking In The Kitchen

Hey Peoples,
How's it going? Welcome to my blog of baking, cooking, and thoughts! To those of you who are reading this, THANKYOU!!!!! You rock (like "Meatloaf"). This blog is (what I hope for it to become at least) all about FOOD. I am posting pictures and recipies of all the awesome things I make. Don't fret, I shall try to make them look pretty. I am right now making creamy carbonara. YUM. Bacon+Mushrooms+pasta= Delicious.
Recipe: Creamy Carbonara: You will need:
-Pasta
-Alfredo Sauce ( you can buy a jar at the grocery store or make yourself)
-bacon
-mushrooms
Instructions: Cook the pasta in boiled water for 7 to 8 minutes, or until tender. While pasta is cooking, stir and cook alfredo sauce in a small pot on low heat for suggested time. Fry the bacon and dice. Dice the Mushrooms. When pasta is done, strain it. remove the sauce from the stove. Pour sauce over pasta, mixing if desired. sprinkle the diced bacon and mushrooms over the pasta. Serve proudly.
