Shortbread.

Hola,
So, I can't believe this, but I forgot to blog when I made a new cookie. I'm so sorry.

Sometime, I made a batch of shortbread cookies. I love shortbread. mine was a little to floury, but you can always try it. The ones I made taste a little more like sugar cookies, so, you should probably just buy shortbread instead. It's still fun to make. And remember, icing makes everything better.

Shortbread

You Will Need:
1 cup Butter
3/4 cups Firmly packed Brown sugar
2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour

Directions:

Step #1: Cream Butter in large bowl.
Step #2: Add sugar and beat until blended.
Step #3: Gradually add flour and beat until blended.
Step #4: With hands, work any flour remaining at the bottom of the bowl into the dough.

*Note: Dough will be very crumbly.

Step #5: Form dough into two balls. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Step #6: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Do not butter cookie sheets.
Step #7: Take one ball out of the refrigerator and roll on a lightly floured surface. It helps if you flour the rolling pin.
Step #8:  Cut into desired shapes. Bake 15-20 minutes or until light golden. Cooking time will vary on how big your cookies are.
Step #9: Cool on racks. Repeat with remaining dough.

So, that's your inexpensive cooking lesson for the day.
I shall keep you posted,
Becca.
